Birdify Refund Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains how charges, cancellations, and refund requests work for Birdify subscriptions. It forms part of, and should be read together with, the Birdify Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Birdify is sold as a recurring monthly subscription. Payments are processed by Birdify's authorized payment provider or Merchant of Record, which may act as the seller of record for your transaction. Refunds and payment reversals are processed through that provider.

2. Free trial and the first charge

Birdify offers a 7-day Professional trial. A payment method is required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription will automatically convert to the Professional plan at $99 USD per month.

Cancelling before the trial ends prevents the first subscription charge. You keep access for the remainder of the scheduled trial period.

Where technically feasible, we send reminders approximately 3 days and 1 day before the trial converts.

If the trial converts because it was not cancelled in time, the resulting charge is a valid subscription charge. You may still ask us to review it — see 'How to request a refund' below — but a refund in that situation is not automatic or guaranteed. Any review takes account of applicable law, the payment provider's rules, and the circumstances of the transaction.

3. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing / My Plan inside Birdify, or through the payment provider's customer portal where one is available. No phone call, email, or stated reason is required.

  • Cancelling stops future renewal charges.
  • Where applicable, access continues through the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
  • Cancelling does not by itself create a refund for time already billed.
  • Cancelling during the free trial means the trial does not convert, and no first subscription charge is taken provided the cancellation is completed before the trial deadline.

4. Duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charges

Please contact us promptly if you see any of the following. These are treated as billing issues and are reviewed separately from discretionary refund requests:

  • A duplicate charge for the same billing period.
  • A charge for an incorrect amount or an incorrect plan.
  • A charge taken after a cancellation was confirmed.
  • A payment you did not authorize.
  • A technical billing error on our side or the provider's side.

Where a billing error is confirmed, we work with the payment provider to correct it, which may include a refund or credit.

5. Serious technical problems with the service

If a material technical issue prevents meaningful use of the paid service and Birdify is unable to resolve it within a reasonable period, a refund or credit may be considered, depending on the circumstances and the payment provider's rules.

This does not extend to matters such as brief or scheduled downtime, minor defects that do not prevent meaningful use, problems with your own device, network, or third-party accounts, features that were never advertised as part of your plan, or simply not having used the subscription.

6. Plan changes, credits, and prorations

You can change plans at any time from Billing settings. Any credits, prorations, or adjustments associated with plan changes are shown during checkout or managed according to the payment provider's billing rules.

Downgrades generally take effect at the next renewal date and do not create an automatic refund for the current period.

7. How to request a refund

You can contact Birdify Support at [SUPPORT EMAIL], or use the contact form on this website. Where the payment provider or Merchant of Record operates its own buyer-support or refund process, you may also use that process directly.

To help us review a charge quickly, please include:

  • The email address on your Birdify account.
  • The transaction, order, or invoice reference.
  • The date of the charge.
  • The amount charged.
  • The reason for your request.

Never send full card numbers, CVV / security codes, passwords, one-time codes, or other sensitive authentication credentials. Birdify will never ask you for them, and we cannot accept them.

8. How approved refunds are processed

Where a refund is approved, it is processed through the original payment provider wherever possible and normally returns to the original payment method.

The time it takes for a refunded amount to appear depends on the payment provider, your bank, the card network, and your country. Birdify cannot control or guarantee those settlement times.

9. Billing disputes and chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, contacting Birdify or the payment provider first is usually the quickest way to resolve it, and often faster than a bank dispute.

Nothing in this policy affects your right to raise a dispute or chargeback with your bank or card issuer where you are entitled to do so.

10. Your statutory consumer rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer-protection law. Depending on where you live and whether you qualify as a consumer, you may have statutory cancellation, withdrawal, cooling-off, or refund rights that apply in addition to this policy.

Where this policy and a mandatory legal right conflict, the mandatory legal right applies.
